Electronic Avionics Technician
New Hope, MN

We are actively recruiting for Electronic Avionics Technician candidates for a temp to hire opportunity with a client in the New Hope area. Interested candidates must have soldering experience and strong microscope skills.

Electronic Avionics Technician:

  • Associates Degree in an electronic technology discipline or 2 years electronics military training or High School education with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Avionic Electronics experience in assembly, soldering, testing and troubleshooting of highly electronic products.
  • Must be proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Will be required to pass J-STD & IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Possesses knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and maintain assembly and hand soldering of equipment and tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow.
  • Ability to manufacture / test products with best methods or procedures in situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods.
  • Has ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in the applications appropriate to the area e.g.: Word, Excel and Documentation control systems.
  • Ability to identify problems in the assembly, soldering, test processes with the ability to further address such problems.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision by being motivated and a self-starter.
  • Ability to manufacture / test products with best methods or procedures in situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods.
  • Requires keen attention to detail.
  • Visual exams are required pre-hire and biennial to confirm visual acuity of 20/20 with or without glasses along with passing a standard color vision exam.


Electronic Avionics Technician Job Description:

  • Has ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Experience with general purpose test instruments (digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, phase angle voltmeters and automated test equipment).
  • Able to fault isolate electronics to the component level.
  • Knowledge in roles testing and environmental stress screening of class 3 electronics systems.
  • Able to follow technical procedures and specification.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in the applications appropriate to the area e.g.: Word, Excel and documentation control systems.
  • Scheduled overtime may be required. Ability to work on week-ends if necessary.
  • Possesses foundation skills and appropriate technical / leadership skills


Shift:

1st Shift - 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Compensation for the Electronic Avionics Technician:


The starting salary for this position is $23.50 - $27.00 per hour.
