We are actively recruiting for Toolmaker candidates for a temp to hire opportunity with this client.

Toolmaker Job Duties:

- Work from complicated drawings, sketches, handbook formulas and specifications.
- In the absence of design drawings, proceed from verbal instructions and/or concept drawings, organize and determine
work procedures and sequences, select materials in accordance with specifications.
- Perform complex machining and grinding operations requiring complicated and unusual setups necessitating frequent
improvising and adaptations of machines and tools.
- Perform critical bench operations involving polishing, fitting and aligning component parts of fixtures, molds, and
machines.
- Assist with set up of Molds.
- Maintain and repair plastic injection molds to support production.
- Build, design and maintain tools for production and instruct Department Lead Person, Supervisor or Machine Operators
on their use, care, and operational methods and procedures.
- Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision and direction.
- Responsible for quality of workmanship, dimensional accuracy and efficient operation of assigned projects.
- AbelConn is ISO 9001 and AS 9100 registered, all job duties are to be performed per the appropriate ISO instructions.

Toolmaker Job Requirements:

- High School education required.
- Requires a broad knowledge of tool and machining technology, mechanical principles, advance mathematics, layout and
precision measuring procedures, material characteristics, and treatment applications acquired through trade schools
- A minimum of four years of similar toolmaking experience as an apprentice toolmaker or combination of education and
experience.
- Knowledge of CNC Mill set-up and programming is a plus.
- Requires a very high degree of precision tolerances at times less than .001.
- Work is perrormed in standing and sitting positions and numerous other physical movements and heavy lifting are
required.
