Description

Sales Director Key Objectives:

  • Met and exceed business development forecast
  • Develop, coach and mentor a successful sales team

Sales Director Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research of prospective clients to ensure they fit MPS target profiles.
  • Gather information on the client's business processes, critical success factors, and competitive standing through a strategic and consultative sales approach to deliver value-added business solutions.
  • Scheduling appointments and meeting prospective clients in order to complete a needs analysis.
  • Structure presentations, offerings, and contract negotiations that will potentially contribute to the closing of business.
  • Participating in marketing events such as trade shows, seminars, and telemarketing events.
  • Develop a fully operational and qualified sales department staff by hiring and training employees according to established best practices.
  • Create accountability for each employee by the creation and management of performance standards and reports to track individual performance.
  • Coach and counsel associates on behavioral and performance issues, document and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Work with CEO, CSD and Controller to develop yearly sales forecast

 

Sales Director Minimum Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree or 5 years of equivalent business experience
  • Minimum of five years related business experience with strong emphasis on business to business service selling
  • Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skills
  • Strong leadership, managerial, organizational and communication skills

 

Annual Base Salary: $80,000+ DOQ
Total compensation range: $140K-$200K
