Maintenance Mechanic

Brooklyn Park, MN

Currently looking for skilled Maintenance Mechanic to fill direct hire opening with a company located in Brooklyn Park, MN.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic:
• Minimum of a High school diploma (Maintenance related post-secondary education is a plus)
• At least 3 years of general maintenance experience (preferably in a manufacturing setting) involving basic problem solving skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Proficiency with pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting motor controls up to 480 v.
• Experience repairing and replacing electrical circuits up to 480 v.
• Ability to make steel fabrications via measuring, cutting, bending and welding.
• Work ethic of dependability and reliability.
• Ability to withstand continuous standing/walking and repetitive pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, etc.
• Ability to occasionally lift 10 to 25 pounds or more.
• A Boiler License-2nd Class B (2B) license is preferred.

Requirements of the Maintenance Mechanic:
• Troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading a variant of industrial machines and equipment in a corrugated box manufacturing facility.
• Working with boiler and pressure vessels, conveyors, several converting machines, a shrink-wrap tunnel and forklifts.
• Working with mechanical robotics, pneumatics and mechanical and manual assist with annual planned capital investments that are focused on automation.

Compensation for the Maintenance Mechanic:

The starting salary for this position ranges from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience.
