Description
Our client is looking for a direct hire Maintenance Mechanic (3rd shift 11pm to 7am) . You will troubleshoot, repair and upgrade a variety of industrial machines and equipment in their manufacturing facility. You’ll find a variety of fun challenges as you work with their corrugator with one boiler & pressure vessels, conveyors, several converting machines, a shrink-wrap tunnel and forklifts – involving mechanical, robotics, pneumatics and mechanical with manual assist with annual planned capital investments that are focused on automation. You will continue to grow within a positive maintenance environment with continuous training, hands on learning and mentored direction. As our machines evolve, so will you.

This full-time, hourly position is located in Golden Valley, MN (Highway 394 & Louisiana Avenue). ADDITIONALLY IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
•Complete minor maintenance service and repairs
•Maintain buildings and plant facilities in clean and orderly condition
•Order and maintain supplies and equipment inventories
•Provide general facilities support
•Build positive working relationships across other departments with a main focus on production.



RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

TO QUALIFY, YOU WILL BRING:
•Minimum of a High school diploma (Maintenance related post-secondary education is a plus)
•At least 3 years of general maintenance experience (preferably in a manufacturing setting) involving basic problem solving skills
•Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry
•Proficiency with pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
•Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
•Experience testing and troubleshooting motor controls up to 480v
•Experience repairing and replacing electrical circuits up to 480v
•Ability to make steel fabrications via measuring, cutting, bending and welding
•Work ethic of dependebility and reliability
•Ability to withstand continuous standing/walking and repetitive pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, etc.
•Ability to occasionally lift 10 to 25 pounds or more
•A Boiler License-2nd Class B (2B) license is preferred (continuing education towards Boiler’s license offered)
